Abbotsford Convent’s Rosina Function Space is a unique venue offering heritage elegance for your special event; featuring original lead-light windows, polished floorboards, atmospheric high ceilings and exposed trusses. This exquisite space is the perfect canvas for you to add your own personal touch to create a fabulous celebration for up to 280 guests seated or 500 guests for a cocktail style event. Host your wedding ceremony amongst the rolling lawns of the heritage gardens or in the original bluestone Good Shepherd Chapel.
Wedding and engagement photography is also welcomed at the Convent. Income generated through this activity goes to support our National Heritage-listed venue. Our rate is $750 for the day. This provides you with an all-access ground pass which allows you to choose to take your photos anywhere you like. Please refer to our film and photography conditions of hire for more information.

Abbotsford Convent is the perfect location for a variety of film and photography shoots. We have facilitated a large number of film and television productions, advertising and fashion shoots as well as many artistic projects.
Live streaming and broadcasting. We encourage creatives and arts and cultural innovators to get in touch about using our venues for broadcasting and recording performances and digital presentations.
Family portraits are allowed outside the buildings and on the grounds without prior approval or any fees, however please be respectful of patrons.
