To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, we’ve made some changes to the way we operate. This includes the following measures:
- Implementing the Victorian Government’s mandatory QR Code check-in for all visitors to the precinct.
- Reducing our precinct and venue capacities, based on current density quotients.
- Practicing and promoting physical distancing.
- Wearing face masks when applicable.
- Regularly cleaning high-traffic and high-touch areas.
- Providing hand sanitiser stations along paths of travel.
- Displaying posters and floor markings with health and safety guidelines around the precinct.
We are closely following all Victorian Government guidelines and will continue to update our procedures as necessary.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Check-in, check-in, check-in!
Record keeping continues to be an important tool for helping Victoria stay safe and stay open. Please check-in to the Convent precinct upon arrival. And if you visit particular cafes, retailers, studios or venues within the precinct, you’ll need to check-in there too.
When to stay home.
For the safety and wellbeing of everyone, you must not visit the Convent if: you feel unwell or if you are displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms as identified by the DHHS; you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test; you are required to quarantine or self-isolate by the DHHS; you have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days before your intended date of visit.
Come together, but keep apart.
Please stay 1.5 meters away from anyone you don’t live with whenever possible, and follow the guidance provided by our staff and precinct signage. You’ll find patron limits at the entrance to bathrooms, indoor venues, lifts and dining areas.
Be squeaky clean!
Practise good hygiene by washing your hands regularly with soap, using hand sanitiser, and sneeze or cough into your elbow or a tissue.
Wear a mask.
A fitted face covering is required to be worn in accordance with Victorian Government directions, unless a lawful exemption applies. Visitors are encouraged to carry a mask at all times and to wear this when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please be aware that some members of the community may have issues with wearing masks due to health conditions. We ask that you be respectful to others as reasons for not wearing a mask are not always obvious.
Pay with card.
Contactless payment methods are strongly encouraged, so please bring a credit or debit card for any on-site purchases.
Visiting the Convent when you are unwell puts yourself and others at risk. Attending while under quarantine or isolation orders is prohibited. Please also consider your own safety and wellbeing and whether attending is the right thing for you.
We reserve the right to deny you entry, or ask you to leave to minimise the risk to others if you appear to have COVID-19 symptoms, or you do not comply with Government directives.
