Nestled amongst the stunning heritage-listed buildings and grounds, is Abbotsford Convent’s newest venue, The Marquee.
Offering a comfortable 108 square meters of space and accommodates up to 350 people with the surrounding lawn. The Marquee is suitable for a wide variety of events and comes with a range of enhancements to make your event planning easy. It features clear walls to bring the outdoors in, heating and cooling to keep things comfortable, grass-friendly flooring, and a range of furniture and audio-visual options. Situated on Mercator Lawn, and overlooking the back of the Magdalen Laundry, The Marquee takes full advantage of the Convent’s unique charm.
Power, heating/cooling, house lights, rustic wooden trestle tables, and chairs. Additional features such as staging, coloured ambient lights, speakers, lectern, cocktail pods, and outdoor umbrella are available for hire.
The Marquee is wheelchair accessible, however some surfaces may be rough.
Gender diversity is welcome at the Convent, and patrons are welcome to use any restroom that matches their gender identity or expression. There are gender-neutral toilets available close to the venue and gendered toilets available in other locations within the Convent precinct.
