Stephen Gray has published novels, a book of creative non-fiction, and short stories. His novel, ‘The Artist is a Thief’, won The Australian Vogel Literary Award, was nominated for the Ned Kelly Awards for crime fiction, short-listed for the Vision Australia Library Awards, and was nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. His book ‘The Protectors’ (Allen & Unwin, 2011), won the Iremonger Award for Writing on Public Issues, while ‘Lungfish’ won the Jessie Litchfield Award. He has published in literary journals (Overland, The Australian Review), written occasional reviews for The Australian, and his short story, ‘Prisoner’s Dilemma’, was short-listed for the S D Harvey Short Story Award in 2015.
