Your bed is where you dream, sweat, sleep, cry, make love, hold and are held. With illness, a bed can become an entire universe. A swamp, an island, an embrace.

Air Hunger is a visceral, intimate, and giddy piece of dance theatre, drawing you into the very private world of living in the “night side of life”. At times vulnerable and fragile, at times emotionally explosive and confronting, Air Hunger brings experiences that are often hidden into the public realm.

Air Hunger is a collaborative movement-theatre piece created and directed by Lucy Eidelson, choreographed by Lucy Eidelson e Chiharu Valentino with dramaturgy by Bridie Noonan. The piece is performed by Lucy Eidelson, Bridie Noonan, Chiharu Valentino, Ella Ferris, Bee Bleechmore, Joyce Liu, Kassie Junkeer, Alec Katsourakis e Maddi Cushion. The creators and performers come together for the first time to share an intimate, personal representation of hidden chronic illness through the site of the bed.

The Magdalen Laundry and Industrial School are accessibile con sedia a rotelle. Gender diversity is welcome at the Convent, and patrons are welcome to use any restroom that matches their gender identity or expression.
