Isabel was born in Poland, grew up in Germany and lived in London before embarking on a big adventurs to Australia around 10 years ago. Since then she has been a practising artist in Melbourne, has performed at Fringe Festival, been involved in stage design and has completing her Bachelor in Visual Arts, Photography and Drama. She is passionate about exploring various mediums, but has been especially focused on painting and collage for the past 5 years.
Her focus and passion is contemporary landscape paintings which are inspired by the Australian environment. Through her work, she is seeking to translate the emotional experience within the landscape and to highlight the importance of our connection to nature and its conservation.
Isabel is also a disability support worker, support artist for Arts Access Victoria and a huge animal and movement enthusiast.
She is commited to pushing her arts practice further, and is planning to apply for arts residencies in the future. The studio at the Convent allows her to focus on her creative process, and she is excited to continue on her new body of work in such an inspiring environment.
