ULO is a Melbourne-based brand showcasing vibrant African prints through fashion, home interiors and lifestyle.
‘ULO’ means ‘Home’ in the native language of the Igbo people in Nigeria, West Africa. Nigerians love to wear colour, entertain and welcome people into their homes. ULO strives to embody this spirit of conviviality.
Inspired by her proud Nigerian heritage and driven by her enormous passion for colour and African prints, Founder & Creative Director, Dinzi Amobi-Sanderson began designing and producing homewares using African wax fabrics. She has since extended her product line to include a vibrant kidswear collection, and is set to launch an easy-to-wear collection for women to enjoy in April 2020.
Dinzi, who was born to Nigerian parents, has taken the best of her multicultural upbringing to showcase Western aesthetics with the chromatic colours of Africa – a true representation of her identity and mixed culture.
Dinzi is on a mission to show that African print does not discriminate, it can be enjoyed by everyone! Her designs and collections aim to encourage people to live in colour and embrace the clashing prints of Africa. ULO’s fabrics and limited edition prints are carefully hand-sourced from local artisans and wholesale vendors in Africa.
Each collection is designed by Dinzi and produced by her team in Melbourne, Australia.
