Chris Womersley is an award-winning author of four novels, City of CrowsCairoBereft and The Low Road, and numerous short stories and occasional reviews and essaysHis first short story collection, A Lovely and Terrible Thing, was published in 2019.

Chris Womersley’s short fiction has been published in literary journals such as GrantaMeanjin and Griffith Review and has won or been shortlisted for numerous prizes, including the International BBC Short Story Prize and The Josephine Ulrick Literature Prize. 

Chris Womersley has also written book reviews for publications such as The AgeThe Australian and The Monthly.
