St Heliers Street Gallery Exhibitions 2020
ABOUT THE GALLERY
Centrally located within the Abbotsford Convent multi-arts precinct, St Heliers Street Gallery delights audiences each year with high calibre works from emerging and established artists. Established in 2009 to support the growing community of Convent artists, St Heliers Street Gallery also accepts submissions from the broader community and does not charge commission on works sold. Connected to Cam’s – a bustling café and local institution for knock-off drinks – the gallery is a natural place to meet and share your work with a diverse and growing audience. The gallery is managed by the Abbotsford Convent Foundation (ACF) in partnership with Cam’s Kiosk.
Applications are now open for the St Heliers Gallery 2020 exhibition program, with year- round opportunities available for exhibitions of 3 weeks duration. We encourage applications from the Convent-based community and from external artists, collectives and organisations. The ACF also partners with key arts festivals each year bringing new audiences to the gallery and providing opportunities for exhibitors to gain broad exposure.
We welcome proposals from emerging and established artists, designers and curators for solo or group exhibitions for visual and audio visual arts, sound, design, multi and new media, craft, live art and performance.
The Abbotsford Convent Foundation (ACF) proudly presents contemporary arts and cultural work across all art forms. We work collaboratively with artists and in partnership with other arts and cultural organisations to share our unique, multi-arts precinct with diverse audiences. We aim to stimulate engagement and cultural exchange through the wonderful and unexpected curiosities of our people and our place – and community spaces like St Heliers Street Gallery are at the heart of that vision.
Through our St Heliers Street Gallery 2020 exhibitions program, we seek to create new opportunities for excellence, innovation and collaboration. We partner with our community to transform people’s lives through diverse cultural experiences. We’re looking for proposals that encourage artistic dialogue and that have the potential to inspire and attract new audiences to the Convent.
