Melbourne Fringe: Meet the Maker Tour
The Abbotsford Convent is a thriving arts, cultural and learning precinct, welcoming around a million visitors a year and providing studios for more than 150 artists, designers, writers, musicians, wellbeing practitioners and other creative and cultural organisations. During the Melbourne Fringe Festival, the Convent will be providing the opportunity to take a tour, and step inside the studios of a number of our talented makers and creative practitioners onsite. Gain insights about the operations, programs and skills of artists and makers, creative businesses or wellbeing practitioners onsite.
Drop in to our two art galleries – c3 Contemporary Art Space and St Heliers Street Gallery and learn about the Abbotsford Convent Foundation’s plans for the future. Please note, this is a walking tour of the Convent, which runs for approximately 90 minutes (depending on the size of the group, the tour may run 15 minutes longer or shorter). Participants are encouraged to bring a bottle of water, and wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate attire. For groups with accessibility needs, please get in touch with our Community Engagement Coordinator to discuss.
