HuRU-hARa = Riot/Chaos in Bahasa.
The collision of cultures, old and new, facade and taboo; past eats present, the personal turns universal, the unity of multiplicity, the harmony of pure anarchy.
Screaming from deep within the collective subconscious, HuRU-hARa is a dive bar in a labyrinth made from memories. Hyperactive and cartoonish, HuRU-hARa is a multicolour hallucinatory street market of a thousand flavours. HuRU-hARa brings together avant-garde artists from across the Nusantara archipelago of South East Asia to create an ever-evolving artwork, a perpetual performance and a non-stop party. HuRU-hARa explodes at Abbotsford Convent in a cacophony of raw and joyous accident; utterly hypnotic, chaotic and endlessly original.
Embrace chaos. Come unhinged in HuRU-hARa.
