Convent Kids presents: Triple Threat
As a young performer, Danielle failed to be cast in a major role in musicals such as Bye Bye Birdie, Little Shop of Horrors and Bugsy Malone – instead she watched the leads from the sideline as an extra; an outsider looking in. For an artist who has invested countless hours studying dance, theatre and singing but has struggled to be a triple-threat in the industry (or ever land a lead role) the public karaoke stage has proven to be a platform where ‘dreams do come true’. The karaoke stage hones your resilience – anyone who is bold enough to take part can have their turn in the spotlight.
Triple Threat draws on karaoke and DIY technology, inviting kids to move, sing and perform with confidence alongside an artist who may not have exceled on stage but has nonetheless embraced being a sidelined extra who is fabulously less than first-rate.
Join Danielle Reynolds for a low pressure, energy-filled Convent Kids session that utilises warmth and humour to encourage young participants to have fun, join in and persevere. Suitable for children aged 3+. Please note this program includes amplified music and encourages noise-making! Convent Kids is supported by the City of Yarra.
