Feldenkrais and Meditation Workshop
This is an opportunity to take precious time to explore being present in movement and stillness, and to discover how these two modes of being blend, support and nourish each other.
Using simple mindfulness meditation and gentle movement, this workshop will aim to steadily develop an experience of ease and clarity that you can carry into everyday life.
You will use Feldenkrais movement explorations to enhance self-awareness, interrupt unhelpful and unconscious patterns and tension, and enable greater ease in meditation.
Meditation brings more clarity to Feldenkrais movements – these approaches complement and enhance each other beautifully.
Facilitated by Julia Broome, a physiotherapist and Feldenkrais practitioner who is deeply committed to empowering people to improve their wellbeing and health, and supporting people in their spiritual growth.
Julia has practised meditation in the Buddhist tradition for over 40 years and has also studied and taught therapeutic approaches to meditation, using Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation.
