Abbotsford Life Drawing
A weekly life drawing experience located within the bustling Abbotsford Convent arts precinct. Hosting the best life models Melbourne has to offer with an aim to spark the creative self-expression in artists both experienced and emerging.
Located at the Packing Room, sessions are held every Thursday night for two hours between 7–9pm, facilitated by Jean-Luc Syndikas. There will be model breaks and a half time break for artists.
We recommended you book to secure your seat as the space is limited to 25 people. You have the option to be seated or standing with a easel (a limited number of easels are provided).
We encourage artists to bring their own materials. Electronic pads are accepted. Basic art materials are provided with a gold coin donation.

“These sessions run by Jean-Luc provide a warm and inviting atmosphere, where artists and models are welcomed, treated like family and made to feel truly part of something. And above all else, it's a lot of fun!” – John Patten, Museums Victoria
“Every time Jean-Luc asks me to pose for one of his classes I squeal with delight. The planning that goes into these classes are unparalleled. Each night the vibe is just right, the space buzzes with creativity and I can only hope some of this shines out through my poses. Thank you Jean-Luc for creating a truly intimate and special life drawing class in Melbourne” – Matilda Ashman, Life Model.
