Kate Ryan writes fiction and non fiction. Her work has appeared in publications including New Australian Writing 2, The Sleepers Almanac, Kill Your Darlings and the Griffith Review. Her picture books have been published by Penguin and Lothian. Kate’s story ‘Sunday Nights’ was shortlisted for the 2015 Josephine Ulrick Award and her essay ‘Psychotherapy for Normal People’ won the Writers’ Prize in the 2015 Melbourne Prize for Literature. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from La Trobe University (2013) and is working on an adult novel.
