Jimmy's Run
$15 AUD
Jimmy's Run is the story of a city dweller's return to his hometown to witness a public hearing into the working of the local Council. Filled with larger-than-life characters and memories of another time, it explores, with gentle humour, the colourful inner working of regional Australia through the eyes of someone who has long left but still has a place.
"Jimmy's Run is a great yarn. It exposes the tension between urban bureaucracy and rural pragmatism. It's an Australian story born from experience and written with a clever, dry wit."
"Fiction or auto-fiction, it has all the elements of a classic Australian yarn. Small country town, men in the pub, the footy team, power and politics."
"Just finished your book, 'Jimmy's Run'. Loved it."
"Loved the speech of O'Brien at the end.."
