Peter Rowland Group joins Abbotsford Convent in 2021

Melbourne’s leading catering and event company, Peter Rowland Group, will join the Convent’s tenant community in 2021, to provide exceptional catering and events across the precinct. 

Established in 1962, the Peter Rowland Group (PRG) has been catering for weddings, corporate and private events in venues, town halls, gardens, function centres and galleries for the past 58 years. PRG has depth of hospitality experience in heritage precincts, and with the arts and cultural sector, having worked with a pedigree of iconic venues across Melbourne.

Peter Rowland Group CEO, Michelle Biddle, said, “PRG offers fresh, high quality food in innovative ways that engage community, agriculture and sustainability. The unique Convent precinct presents inspiring possibilities, and we look forward to building tailored, collaborative, personal, and creative catering and event solutions to enhance the Convent’s existing portfolio of impressive events.”

Group Executive Chef for the Peter Rowland Group, Matthew Haigh, will lead menu design, tailored to Abbotsford Convent. Featuring local suppliers, the menus will offer great versatility and breadth, providing flexibility for a range of budgets and event styles. In the months ahead, Peter Rowland Group will build a calendar of events across the Convent’s unique spaces to create new and exciting opportunities that include arts and cultural activations, community engagements, industry functions and bespoke events.

The Convent acknowledges outgoing caterer Bursaria Fine Foods, who have been responsible for creating extraordinary, award-winning weddings and events since 2011, and bringing new audiences to the precinct. Bursaria Fine Foods will cease operating at the Convent in 2021.
