Melbourne Ikebana Festival
See spectacular floral installations, international exhibitions, live demonstrations and hands-on workshops celebrating the Japanese art of ikebana.
Visitors can also enjoy live ikebana demonstrations, where artists create original arrangements in just six minutes, and take part in hands-on workshops for all levels, including beginner, men’s, and Japanese-language sessions.

o to da te: a Japanese listening tour
Slow down and experience the Convent through sound in this self-guided walk by pioneering Japanese sound artist Akio Suzuki. Collect your o to da te pack from the information desk and then find the 11 listening points across the site marked by a concrete paver stamped with a pair of ears. Record your own reflections in the provided meditation journal as you go.
