The Australian Photography Awards returns for its 10th edition, bringing together photographers from across the country for a celebration of Australian image-making.
Join Photo Collective in Naarm/Melbourne for an evening at the iconic Convent featuring the announcement of the 2026 award winners, an exhibition of this year’s shortlisted and retrospective of the past 10 years, artist talks, drinks, and the chance to connect with photographers, curators, educators and the wider creative community.

Photo Collective brings together photographers, educators and curators to create opportunities for visual artists within Australia.
Since 2014, they have been immersed in the discovery of photography. Through initiatives including Australian Photography Awards, Photo Collective Magazine and their digital platform, Photo Collective provide valuable pathways for creatives to gain recognition and progress their careers. They promote accessibility within photography and recognise its ability to bring people together to share knowledge and understanding.
Whilst celebrating some of Australia’s most well known photographers, Photo Collective also acts as an entry point for an emerging demographic and provides a valuable outpost for the public to engage in the visual arts.
