Michelle Aung Thin

Michelle is a novelist, essayist and former advertising copywriter whose work has appeared in literary magazines, short story collections, academic journals and TV channels. Michelle’s first novel, ‘The Monsoon Bride’, was published in 2011. As an unpublished manuscript, it was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards and received a Readings Foundation/Wheeler Centre Fellowship. Michelle recently completed a PhD at The University of Adelaide and teaches writing at RMIT. She is currently working on her second book.
