This month, Big Bite Studios are running a series of creative workshops for kids during the school holidays at our Abbotsford Convent studio. They’re designed as relaxed, hands-on sessions where kids can explore art and clay in a fun, welcoming environment.
Sessions
Classes will run Monday — Friday each week.
Little ones will be able to choose to participate in one or both of the following classes:
Kids Art Club | 11am – 12.30pm
A mix of painting, drawing and creative activities.
Each day is different, with things like character design, collage, colour play and more.
Kids Clay Club | 2pm – 3.30pm
Hands-on clay sessions where kids create ceramic pieces like creatures, bowls, mini sculptures and textured objects.
These sessions include glazing and firing of one finished piece.
These sessions are best suited to kids aged 4 — 12.
Classes are beginner-friendly, with no experience needed.
All materials will be supplied by Big Bite Studios.
Circa
Big Bite Studios is a multidisciplinary design practice led by creative Seo Murphy, working across illustration, ceramics and textiles. The studio is known for its playful, colour-led approach, creating nostalgic, design-driven pieces that bring a sense of curiosity and character into everyday life.
Grounded in slow design principles and ethical making, Big Bite Studios produces small-batch collections of handmade ceramics, printed textiles and curated homewares. Each piece begins in the studio, where ideas are explored through drawing, prototyping and material experimentation, before being developed into functional, tactile objects designed to be used and kept.
