Sophie Cunningham is a non-fiction writer and novelist with a passion for trees, walking and broader environmental issues.
Currently, Sophie is working on a non-fiction book The ‘Time Machines: In search of ten of Australia’s oldest and most remote trees’.
A Member of the Order of Australia for her contributions to literature, Sophie is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University in the School Media and Communication in the College of Design and Social Context. She sits on the Board of University of Queensland Press and Australian Society of Authors. Her next novel, This Devastating Fever, is scheduled for release at the end of 2022.
The author of six books, Sophie is also a teacher, mentor, climate change activist, wildlife advocate and every day she posts an image of a tree on her Instagram.
