Les Salle des fresques is a grand, long corridor located within the Convent building. Filled with natural light and featuring stunning black and white marble tiles and unique low-lit sconce lighting, the Hall leads to an original floor-to-ceiling mural work framed by a proscenium, creating an organic stage setting that tells a story of the Convent’s past.
It is a popular location for art classes, film and photography, and small intimate performances.
The Mural Hall connects to the Salon et le Salle de petit-déjeuner, and is located nearby the Bishop’s Parlour.
L'histoire
The Mural Hall is believed to be a private corridor originally used by novitiates to access the Chapel, Salon and other rooms on the west wing of the Convent building without entering public areas. This was the space where novices would make a commitment to, or ‘marry’ God.
