Work in Progress is a dynamic exhibition showcasing first-year Monash Architecture student work, featuring posters, models, and dioramas that explore the experimental nature of the architectural design process. Celebrating creativity, learning-by-doing and the power of imagination in architectural education.
This exhibition emerges from a desire to celebrate the imagination and creativity of first-year Monash Architecture students. In their very first semester of architectural education, students are encouraged to explore design as an experimental process — one that values iteration, making, and reflection as much as final outcomes. Architecture is not only about buildings, but also about the ways ideas are tested, communicated, and shared. The exhibition invites audiences to witness the diversity and curiosity of student outcomes at the very beginning of their architectural journey.
The Exhibition will be launched by Professor Mel Dodd, Dean of Monash Art, Design and Architecture and Professor Erik L’Heureux, Head of Monash Architecture.
This Presentation is supported by Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and Abbotsford Convent.
