This is not a pity party!

Dance to every song or bask in the sun with your best mates. Boogie all night or embrace the day. Whatever it is, get moving!

Wheels in Motion is excited to bring you the long overdue Move With Us 2023, coming to you live from Abbotsford Convent — just minutes from the CBD, and all your favourite party places.

Move With Us will be outdoors, open-air and fully step-free, with designated accessible toilets and parking on site. There will be dedicated areas for those who want a more chilled, quieter time – and plenty of space for those looking to party into the night.

Saturday 16 December
2.00pm – 10.00pm

A propos de

Founded in 2016, Wheels in Motion is reframing expectations of disability by building a community around a movement. A community that understands disability as a social construct, not a means to define someone’s potential; one that includes and empowers, not pities.

Founded in 2016, the organisation is the brainchild of five high-school friends: Nick Inge, Hugh McKenzie, Will Kitchen, Will Allen and Matt Pierri.

Wheels in Motion wants to change what people expect from those with a disability, whilst changing what people expect from a charity, too. Wheels in Motion harnesses the enthusiasm and generosity of its supporters to both raise funds and break down the invisible barriers facing people living with spinal cord injuries in Australia.

Accessibilité

This event is wheelchair accessible.

Gender diversity is welcome at the Convent, and patrons are welcome to use any restroom that matches their gender identity or expression. There are gender-neutral toilets available close to the venue and gendered toilets available in other locations within the Convent precinct. View the Public Toilet Map to find a bathroom of your preference.
