Held, Briefly is a weekend-long art exhibition at Abbotsford Convent celebrating the beauty of impermanence.

Across two days, The Store galleries will come alive with works from a diverse line-up of emerging and established artists. Held, Briefly captures moments that are both grounding and fleeting — a friendship that sparks new ideas, a moment of kindness that lingers, a brief romance that changes the way we see ourselves.

Rather than longing for the past, the exhibition recognises that the temporary holds its own kind of fullness. Artists respond to the theme through contrasts: warmth and departure, connection and release, fullness and absence, beginnings inside endings.

The result is a space for reflection, playfulness and bittersweet honesty. Set across six stunning gallery spaces and a beautiful open courtyard, this event brings: 30+ artists showcasing diverse works (All Weekend)
Live performances and DJs (Saturday)
10+ market stalls (Saturday)
Food (Saturday) and bar available (All Weekend)
