Chimera Collage — Sarah Aiken

A collage extravaganza for making your own mythical creature using cut-outs of animals, people, plants, machines, objects, or anything that can be imagined!

Artist and choreographer Sarah Aiken will lead a gentle and exploratory workshop for kids and families looking at mythical creatures through collage and craft. Cut and paste to make Frankensteins of living and non-living things.

From Abbotsford Convent With Love — Ana Rita Pires

Explore the Convent and create a letter for a loved one through writing and drawing, then share it with a wider audience. The work culminates as a small archive – a collection of letters. The lucky recipient takes home their letter of love.

As the workshop draws to a close, children arrange their works for viewing, grab a snack (supplied) and move around the galleries as the participants present their own Artist Talk and Tour. The celebration ends with kids taking home their tasty creations.

These workshops are for children only.

Adults – sit back and let them cook We’ve got you covered; coffee provided.
