“Nostalgia” is presented by misc objet presents and Abbotsford Convent for Melbourne Design Week 2024.

Explore the transformative power of reminiscing, reflect on the past, reconsider the present and envision a future built upon the lessons and emotions evoked by nostalgia.

The installation brings together thirteen emerging Melbourne based artists and designers with their diverse backgrounds in traditional and unconventional uses of materials and processes, blending experimentation and long-established techniques. The exhibition poses the question: How does looking back inspire and shape the future? It explores the transformative power of reminiscing — encouraging viewers to reflect on the past, reconsider their present and envision a future built upon the lessons and emotions evoked by nostalgia.
