Three Bags Fool invite you to peel and eat an orange, in Yellow Red Fruit, a multi-sensory theatre romp. The Fools set their gaze on the humble orange and ask it – the fruit that is built to share – what can it teach us?
Embark on this journey through an act of wondering; why is this fruit so often tied to memory, to love, to generosity, to friendship? What does its decay teach us about our propensity to waste? How does looking closely at the tiny planet you have in your hand affect the way we move on the planet beneath our feet.
Yellow Red Fruit is brought to you from the minds of:
Solomon Rumble – Concept, Devisor, Performer
Meg Taranto – Concept, Devisor, Performer
Aram Geleris – Devisor, Performer
Sunny Youngsmith – Producer
Isabella Edwards – Set and Costume Design
Sidney Younger – Lighting Design
Kevin Hojerslev – Dramaturg
Concept Photography by Alec Farrow with additional graphic design by Henry Lucas.
Three Bags Fool
A theatre company from Naarm/Melbourne, born from the friendship and collaboration of Solomon Rumble and Meg Taranto. They are buoyed up by further collaborations with a team of BRILLIANT emerging creatives.
Rumble and Taranto’s minds are set ablaze by form and genre bending work and tell stories for and with the audience in a way that invites them to feel located. Hoping that with their form of storytelling, they can contribute to a kinder, more whimsical, and empathetic world.
Three Bags Fool’s ethos is that when people are laughing, they are better equipped to care about things. Comedy brings engagement and engagement brings mindfulness. The Fool lives at the edges of things and is excited to make work that blends science, art, the seen and the unseen, the built and the natural, the comic, the tragic, the awe inspiring.
Yellow Red Fruit is Three Bags Fool’s second work, following FOX (Melbourne Fringe, 2023) and is made possible due to the Victorian College of the Arts First Step Theatre Grant, gratefully received in 2023.
This event is NOT family friendly.
Audience Warnings and Age Guidelines: Could be enjoyed by patrons 13+ with parental guidance.
