Wildflower and Abbotsford Convent present an intimate evening of powerful voices and immersive performance.

Featuring Queenie, WILSN and Nkechi (Owelu Dreamhouse), each artist will reimagine their music in a rare stripped-back format accompanied by a three-piece orchestra. Surrounded by light, florals and stained glass, this one-night-only experience celebrates connection, atmosphere and the beauty of live music in one of Melbourne’s most iconic spaces.

About

Queenie is a genre-defying vocalist whose work spans soul, jazz, R&B and experimental sound. Known for her rich tone and commanding presence, she creates performances that are both intimate and powerful. Her practice centres on storytelling, improvisation and connection, often responding to the energy of the room. Whether performing solo or with collaborators, Queenie brings a distinctive sensitivity that blurs the line between concert and shared experience. Emerging as a compelling voice in Australia’s contemporary music scene, her work is bold, expressive and grounded in feeling—inviting audiences to slow down, listen deeply and be moved.

WILSN is a powerhouse Australian vocalist redefining contemporary soul. Known for her soaring voice and emotive delivery, she blends classic Motown influences with a modern edge. Signed to Ivy League Records, WILSN gained international attention with her debut album Those Days Are Over, recorded with members of the Dap-Kings. Her music channels heartbreak, resilience and joy with raw authenticity. Whether on record or on stage, WILSN delivers deeply felt performances that connect instantly—cementing her as one of Australia’s most compelling soul voices.

Nkechi Anele is a dynamic vocalist, broadcaster and cultural curator, best known as the frontwoman of Saskwatch. With a powerful voice and commanding stage presence, she blends soul, funk and pop into high-energy performances that captivate audiences. Beyond music, Nkechi is a respected media voice, hosting on Triple J and championing diverse artists and stories. Her work spans performance, programming and advocacy, grounded in connection and representation. Whether on stage or behind the mic, Nkechi brings intelligence, warmth and unmistakable energy to everything she does.

Presented by Abbotsford Convent as part of WinterLIVE.
