LUCE Duet invites you on another musical adventure with their cello ensemble.

Experience the magic of The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, reimagined in a captivating arrangement for four cellos — a fresh and intimate take on one of classical music’s most beloved masterpieces. We are also thrilled to present the world premiere of a new work for cello duet by New Zealand composer Chris Adams and by Australian composer Naomi Brown.

Join LUCE Duet for an evening of rich sound, vibrant energy, and the unique beauty of the cello in ensemble.

About

LUCE DUET is a Melbourne (Naarm) based collaborative project between cellists Charlotte Kube and Wendy Ju that aims to bring both beloved and under-appreciated classical music to new audiences. ‘Luce’, the Italian word for light, encapsulates the goal of the two cellists to shed light on the music they perform in a way that is both approachable and exciting. Charlotte and Wendy met at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music where they completed their Bachelor of Music with Honours. There, they relished the opportunities to perform unique repertoire written specifically for cello ensemble – one of the many reasons they decided to form LUCE DUET. After sell-out performances at Tempo Rubato in 2024 and 2025, Charlotte and Wendy have continued on their performance high with concerts at Saint Paul’s Cathedral, Abbotsford Convent and they also took part in the 2025 Adelaide Chamber Weekend. Charlotte now teaches and is a freelance performer, while Wendy Ju teaches privately and is also undergoing her PhD at the University of Adelaide.
