The Studio Potter is a series of workshops developed to take your pottery to the next level. It is for those interested in making functional tableware in sets and collections and exploring possibilities in handmade pottery production.

The aim of the workshop is to make a set of cohesive wares, unique to your personal aesthetic. Students are encouraged to make deliberate choices, develop control and create pots that are a joy to use.

Areas of focus include:

  • improving technical skills
  • design considerations pertaining to specific forms
  • exploring ways to find your personal voice.

Each series focuses on a specific form, the first one being bowls. Throwing, turning and glazing will be demonstrated, and discussions will take place around finding inspiration and drawing on your personal narrative.

Bring your visual diary, pottery tools and sense of adventure and take this opportunity to nurture your creativity.
