The Dhadjowa Foundation is being established to provide strategic, coordinated and culturally appropriate support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families whose loved ones have died in custody.
On Saturday 3 April, join the Foundation at Abbotsford Convent for a special fundraising event—a moving celebration of loved ones and community.
Commemorate the individuals, families and communities who have lost their lives to Black deaths in custody to mark the 30-year anniversary of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody #RCIADIC.
Support families who have lost their loved ones in custody. Listen to them share their stories.
The launch event will feature performances by the immensely talented Archie Roach, Soju Gang, Kaiit, Kee’ahn and more.
There will also be an exhibition honouring the individuals, families and communities who have lost their lives to Black deaths in custody, and fundraising artworks for sale on the day.
Catering from Mabu Mabu included in ticket price.
Shareena Clanton as MC.
This is a COVID-Safe event. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are at greater risk from COVID-19. Please observe all current guidelines to protect yourself and your mob and help stop the spread.
