The long-awaited return of Sound System Giants is finally here!

The Foreign Brothers, El Gran Mono and Heartical Hi-Powa proudly bring their third instalment meeting of heavyweight sound systems to the Convent.

Melbourne’s original heavyweight Soundsystem, Hertical Hi-Powa, has played reggae and dubwise with no compromise for two decades, significantly contributing to Australia’s music landscape.

El Gran Mono is the first picó sound system built outside Colombia, making its home in Melbourne in 2018.

Sound System Giants brings these two heavyweights together for a day dedicated to sharing the music—in a cultural exchange of Caribbean sound system styles—that gave way to these two unique local icons.
