This workshop led by The System will empower you to create your own reusable cloth bags from basic geometric shapes.
You’ll add pockets, contrast details, handles from a variety of options, and decorations using settings on the domestic sewing machines provided.
For those that are new to a sewing machine, you will also be taught how a domestic sewing machine works, and given some practice sewing exercises.
The class will teach you about the importance of seam allowances, fabric weights, and the aesthetic decisions needed to realise your own bag designs.
Suitable for absolute beginner sewers as well as those with some experience. The class is designed to allow you to make your bag/s with as much complexity or ease as you desire. Those who are more experienced will take many ideas and skills away.
This class has a maximum of 8 students.
