Looking for a fun and creative school holiday activity in Melbourne? Join Big Bite Studios, nestled within the beautiful Abbotsford Convent. Big Bite’s colourful studio is the perfect place for kids to paint, draw, sculpt and get creative in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Running Monday to Friday throughout the school holidays, their beginner-friendly workshops are designed for children aged 4–12. Choose from Art Club, where kids explore drawing, painting and mixed media, or Clay Club, where they’ll learn handbuilding techniques to create their own ceramic masterpieces.
All materials are included, and every session is guided by our friendly artists.
While the kids create, or after class, make a day of your visit by exploring the Abbotsford Convent’s gardens, café, bakery and riverside walking trails. It’s a school holiday outing that’s as enjoyable for grown-ups as it is for little creatives.
Seo Murphy is the artist and founder of Big Bite Studios, a colourful creative studio based at the Convent. Working across illustration, ceramics and design, she’s passionate about helping people reconnect with their creativity through fun, hands-on workshops.
Her classes are relaxed, beginner-friendly and designed to encourage experimentation, imagination and confidence. Whether painting, drawing or working with clay, Seo believes everyone deserves the chance to play, make and create no matter your age. Come play!
