“Rosa Luxemburg and I” is a creative and critical project that deconstructs the anthropogenic self through a collage of monologues, satire, poems and prose/poetry to activate radical imagination towards new, revolutionary ways of being. Drawing upon sociology, political philosophy, eco-criticism and climate scholarship, this funny and moving “work in progress” event includes performance, research discussion and praxis.
In this piece, historical figure and socialist revolutionary Rosa Luxemburg becomes a creative vector to reflect upon earth system damage, the capitalist status quo, eco-socialist potentials and climate imperatives. How can the individuated “I” find its way to climate revolution and solidarity? An important and engaging performance and discussion not to be missed.
Please note this event is suitable for ages 13+
It contains mild language, discussion of climate emergency and details of climate breakdown.
