MacroVerse is a live sonic and visual interpretation of the evolution of the universe, from energy stasis field to heat-death dissipation, performed by electronic music artist Reductionist and video artist Aday.
Reductionist uses battery-powered micro-instruments and micro-virtuosic techniques to express a macro-narrative, providing an embodied humanistic focus within the space. Aday’s visuals distort time and manipulate our perception of energy flow, giving extension to our physical selves as we attempt to grasp the infinite.
Reductionist and Aday are longtime members of Australia’s legendary electronic music collective Clan Analogue, and will draw upon their years of creative experience and ingenuity for this show.
MarcoVerse is part of Abbotsford Convent’s experimental art program. Your ticket gives you free access to a performance by bodies no bodies on the same night. While you’re at it, book in a (free) session of The Shore Remembers, a deep-dive binaural sound experience. Join us for a fantastic night of diverse contemporary artworks! Bar opens 6pm.
