Love Language is Platform Presents’ 7th annual International Women’s Day group exhibition, returning to the Store for a weekend-long celebration of art, community and connection.
Featuring works by over 30 women and gender diverse artists, Love Language explores love as something lived rather than defined. Across painting, textile, photography, installation, moving image and sound, artists reflect on the ways love moves through our lives; in care, routine, memory, touch and time. From chosen family and community to inherited gestures and quiet acts of support, the exhibition centres the everyday expressions of love that often go unnoticed.
Spanning multiple gallery spaces at Abbotsford Convent, the weekend program includes the exhibition alongside live performances, DJs and curated market stalls, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere to explore art together. Saturday is a ticketed event, while Sunday offers a low sensory gallery day with entry by donation.
Love Language is open to everyone and welcomes all members of the community to gather, reflect and share in a collective moment of appreciation.
Platform Presents is a Naarm-based arts collective bringing people together through bold, thoughtful and unexpected art experiences. From pop-up exhibitions to immersive parties, they blur the lines between disciplines and spaces to spark connection and curiosity.
