  • Students are asked to bring a towel, apron and a willing pair of hands to each class, everything else you need is provided.

About

Melbourne Clay (formally Mercator Ceramics School) was founded by Ilona Topolcsanyi and Colin Hopkins in 2009.  All of the people who teach with Melbourne Clay have their own unique approach to “making”, based on many years of knowledge and experience.

Their learning studios have quickly grown into a much-visited creative hub, where there is always a wheel spinning, a kiln roaring, a glaze being splashed onto a hungry pot or a class full of enthusiastic students, laughing their way towards mastery.

Visit Cone 11 Ceramics to find out more about Ilona and Colin’s professional pottery practice.
