[Past Event] Daybreak Festival 2024

Daybreak Festival’s primary focus is nurturing a community surrounding the underground electronic music and art scene in Naarm.

Taking over the magnificent Abbotsford Convent across 5 stages in and around, Daybreak aims to connect with the heritage and history of the space as well as with the land on which the Convent exists — also celebrating and showcasing music and art from local and abroad.

The event will allow for interaction between artist and patron via multidisciplinary mediums and encourage movement in and around the spaces through these mediums to enhance senses beyond the “normal” experience. Daybreak invites everyone and anyone to be able to express themselves and be open to a transformative environment.

The music ranges from electronic and dance DJs, to soul and rap live acts and singers, to bands in the neo-soul and acoustic folk realm.

Finally, there will be 20+ market stalls from artists, designers and chefs showing off their crafts and eatery.

The markets will be open for FREE from 9am, and then the festival is entered via a purchased ticket.

Daybreak… a celebration of community through music and art. Something for everyone.
