The ultimate winter movie experience has arrived and it’s about to be the comfiest thing you do all season.
This winter, Abbotsford Convent teams up with Cozy Cinema Club to launch a brand-new boutique movie offering.
From Wednesday 11 June, you are invited to settle into a plush bean bag, wrap up in a blanket, and sink into a film line-up that’s as comforting as your favourite jumper. This immersive pop-up cinema is more than just movies – it’s a nostalgic celebration of wintertime joy. Think fairy lights, warm lighting, soothing snacks, and a curated film program to suit every kind of movie-lover.
Expect feel-good classics, cult gems, romantic tales, and spooky fireside frights. From Clueless and The Grand Budapest Hotel to Friday the 13th, Midsommar and Spirited Away, there’s a night for everyone — whether you’re on a date, a night out with the crew, or bringing the kids along.
Thanks to an exciting partnership with Oodie, guests are invited to visit the FREE Blanket Bar to borrow different Oodies and blankets, cuddle up and snap the ultimate winter selfie.
Your ticket includes seating on one of our cozy cinema bean bags. Soft and supportive, we’ve created the best seat to sink into as you enjoy the movie! Each bean bag fits one person on it.
All seating is un-allocated. If you can’t find a seat together one of our staff may be able to help you move some bean bags around.
Before the movie, visit the dedicated pre-show space serving warming winter drinks, indulgent treats, and all the movie must-haves.
