ANAM and ELISION Ensemble come together for a bold exploration of contemporary classical music. Following on from collaborations between ELISION and ANAM in 2024, this 2025 residency features some extraordinary works that challenge and redefine the boundaries of sound.

“The opportunity to present rare classics of modern composition that shape how people explore and think about sound is thrilling. Eonta of Iannis Xenakis and Mouvement (– vor der Erstarrung) of Helmut Lachenmann are two such pieces highlighted in ELISION’s second residency with ANAM’s young virtuosi. The levels of commitment and energy these works require are nothing less than extraordinary. A wild sonic ride for all!” – Daryl Buckley, Artistic Director at ELISION Ensemble

ELISION is Australia’s premiere new music ensemble, an international ’supergroup’ whose 17-strong membership includes some of the world’s leading musicians and several ANAM alum.
