Witness the debut of Agaracha Orchestra and the Birth of the Black Baroque, led by Kasinda as part of WinterLIVE 2026.

Agaracha Orchestra (meaning ‘to come home’ in Igbo, Kasinda’s tribe) explores cultural contrasts, unexpected synergies, and the dynamic interplay between Baroque and West African musical traditions.

Agaracha Orchestra is a fusion of Kasinda’s Nigerian and Dutch heritage, a musical manifestation of the biracial experience. Agaracha Orchestra comprises of a nine-piece ensemble combining classical strings, woodwinds, and percussion, blending classical harmonies with West African rhythms creating a unique and innovative sound. The orchestra debuts in the spectacular Oratory, promising to wow audiences with its resonant performance in this historical venue.

Agaracha Orchestra is a fusion of Kasinda’s Nigerian and Dutch heritage, a musical manifestation of the biracial experience. Agaracha Orchestra comprises of a nine-piece ensemble combining classical strings, woodwinds, and percussion, blending classical harmonies with West African rhythms creating a unique and innovative sound. Agaracha Orchestra comprises of Kasinda Faase (flute), John McCall (Piano) Zvi Belling (bass), Dr. Lachlan Dent (cello), Annwen Roberts (violin), Nic Ryan-Glenie (trumpet), Robyn Cummins (Percussion), Max Bruten (guitar) and Ebs Daramola (drums).

Kasinda is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, composer, researcher and educator. Kasinda is known for her ability across genres including classical, jazz and contemporary music as represented in her collaborations in numerous projects including Owelu Dreamhouse, Kee’ahn, Ella Thompson, Afrospace Jazz Industry, Heavy Amber, The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra. Artistically, Kasinda is a story teller using her Nigerian and Dutch identity to fuse new sounds and connect to a wide variety of audiences.
