Join us for a festive weekend at the annual Alliance Française Christmas Market!

The magic of the Alliance Française Christmas Market is coming back to Abbotsford Convent on November 22 & 23, and this time, it’s bigger and merrier than ever!

After the incredible success of last year’s market, which welcomed a vibrant community of vendors and visitors, Alliance Française are excited to make this year’s celebration even more magical.

Plus, the market will be full of family-friendly activities, live music, and a vibrant celebration of French culture. Furry friends welcome too!

Alliance Française de Melbourne (AFM)

Founded in 1890, AFM is an Australian not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of the French language and culture.

They are the largest language centre for French in Victoria with an average of 3,000 students per year. With their team of qualified native French-speaking teachers, they offer a large range of courses, including specialised courses, private tuition, workshops, immersion days, outings to museums or restaurants and more!

Named in honour of the Alliance Française de Melbourne’s founder, the well-known Berthe Mouchette French Language Competition created in 1894 is open to students of French from Grade 3 to Year 12 and attracts thousands of candidates each year who bring French poetry to life through recitals.
