Marketing Coordinator

We seek a creative and dedicated marketing and communications all-rounder with a strong digital focus and excellent content creation skills to apply their talents to promoting Abbotsford Convent, Australia’s largest arts and cultural precinct.

Using your exceptional digital marketing skills, you will use a content marketing approach to support the growth and engagement of the Abbotsford Convents content channels through marketing campaigns (online and offline), digital storytelling and design.

In return, Abbotsford Convent offers an opportunity to work in a bold, exciting, and ever-growing arts precinct, providing an excellent opportunity for career development in a supportive team environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketer to work for a much loved cultural and community precinct and take their creative and marketing skills to the next level.

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary package of circa $65K per annum plus superannuation. A six-month probation applies.

Facilities Support

We are seeking an energised Facilities Support person who has strong administration and coordination skills and can contribute to a much loved cultural and community hub of Melbourne.

Abbotsford Convent offers an opportunity to work in a bold, exciting, and ever-growing arts precinct, for a strong focus on career development and a supportive team environment.

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary package of circa $60K per annum plus superannuation. A six-month probation applies.

The Convent was saved by the community,  for the community, and volunteers play a vital role here. There are many passionate volunteers who contribute to this special place in many ways, from maintaining the beautiful gardens and grounds to contributing to events or running Social History Tours.

The Organisation

Abbotsford Convent is Australia’s largest multi-arts precinct and loved cultural and community hub of Melbourne. A National Heritage-listed site, the Convent precinct comprises 11 historic buildings, four cafes, a gallery, a radio station, a school, and 6.8 hectares of expansive gardens and open spaces.

A thriving and dynamic community, the Convent is home to more than 121 studios including a creative tenant community made up of artists, writers, designers, NFPs, small businesses and wellbeing practitioners. The convent welcomes around one million visitors each year.

During the pandemic, the Convent has remained buoyant by attracting support from three levels of Government and loyal individual donors including philanthropists, trusts and foundations, alongside a social enterprise model to ensure the Convent remains open all year.
