St Heliers Street Gallery: All Angles Forever / Distance
Jacqueline Felstead's video and photogrammetric works in 'All Angles Forever' attempt to map impossible states – such as an hour of someone's time, or the view from above while on the ground. This experimentation renews a once photographic conversation about the possibility and desire for replication, and about how such replicas relate to knowing and understanding where one is. These works engage with the empathetic possibilities of 3D technologies and practices.
Nicholas Wilkins' 'Distance' presents a surreal and dystopic atmosphere through a series of photographs taken on a visit to China in 2015. Locations not disclosed, figures unidentified, 'Distance' invites the viewer to experience for themselves the artist's strange sense of unknowing during his travels in an unimaginably large, diverse and enigmatic country.
