Melbourne Design Week – How Much Can A Koala Bear
As part of the 2018 Melbourne Design week, 'How Much Can A Koala Bear' invites 16 contemporary, established and emerging designers to respond to the notion of what they think currently constitutes 'Australianness'. The exhibition examines the various structures, values, beliefs and constructs that underpin our 21st century sense of Australian cultural identity, exploring how these systems both affect and inform design of the spaces we inhabit, the objects we engage with and the experiences we desire.
'How Much Can a Koala Bear' is curated by Abbotsford Convent-based artist and designer Eugenie Kawabata and Felicity Mark.
Join them and other exhibition designers at a Meet the Maker event on Saturday 24 March from 11.30am – 1pm in the gallery.
Coinciding with 'How Much Can A Koala Bear' will be a dinner at Cam's Kiosk by Ela Mittas.
