‘Draw and Listen’ – Free Children’s Concert
Children are invited to explore their creativity with a free classical music concert at the Convent this spring, thanks to renowned musical education group, PATMA.
Following a sold out international tour, ‘Draw and Listen – The Ultimate Learning Concert’ sees legendary painter and narrator ‘Monet’ guide children to draw what they here, as musicians perform classical music favourites.
Many classical musicians including Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy and Faure spoke of seeing music in colours. In the spirit of this, this interactive concert encourages children to awaken their senses to the beauty of classical music, drawing and colouring as they listen to the sounds around them.
Children will receive pencils and a booklet to colour in during the concert, leaving with a momentum of their magical day at the Convent.
Come along to experience this educational, fun and engaging concert. No bookings are necessary, and this program is complimentary for children and their parents and carers to attend.
This concert is taking place as part of the Convent’s annual Music in the Round program – a special day of classical music performances held throughout our stunning spaces. See the Music in the Round 2017 webpage for the full, ticketed program.
This performance of ‘Draw and Listen – The Ultimate Learning Concert’ by PATMA has been made possible with the generous support of The Angior Family Foundation.
