Discover ‘WellBeing at the Convent’ with a day of fresh perspectives on wellbeing, with free talks, workshops and taster sessions, and chat with practitioners firsthand in their studios to learn more about the many practices which can help you flourish.
Whether you’re starting on your wellbeing path or have been walking it for some time, this is the perfect opportunity to try new wellbeing modalities in a relaxed environment, and to discover what works best for you.
10 – 10.50am | Welcome Panel Presentation: How Do We Flourish?
Many of us share this question, and it resides at the heart of the endeavour for a full and meaningful life. Enjoy a lively and interactive presentation with diverse perspectives from different wellbeing practitioners.
11 – 11.30am | Neuroplasticity: Discovering What’s Possible
A brief introduction to neuroplasticity, including key factors and simple movement experiments to evoke an experience of your nervous system’s amazing potential for positive change.

11.40am – 12.10pm | The Radical Simplicity of Being
Meditation gives us a direct pathway to the deep and natural ease of our beingness.
A talk and a short practice with Aruna Giri, Meditation Teacher.
12.20 – 1.00pm Achieving Optimal Wellbeing - What’s keeping you stuck?
We will explore some key thought patterns, habits and emotions that may be preventing you from achieving wellbeing, meaning and purpose in your life.
1.10 – 1.40pm | A Life Based on Love
Love is the foundation of living a fulfilled life. How do we live our love in the world with authenticity? Let’s widen our horizon to explore a love that can nourish and transform ourselves, our humanity and the world.
A talk by Anahata Giri, Yoga and Meditation Teacher.
1.50 – 2.30pm | Opening Your Sails to the Wind
We will explore unfurling one’s self through folding, unfolding and rolling. Engage in novel movement explorations to connect more fully with your body-mind.
A workshop with Louise Rothols, Feldenkrais practitioner.
2.40 – 3.20pm | Yoga & the Five Layers of Human Experience
Enjoy fluid posture sequences, breathing practices, relaxation and meditation, to cultivate deep presence that embraces all of human experience.
A workshop with Kathleen Marcoux, yoga teacher.
3.30 – 4.10pm | Introduction to Qigong
Explore basic gentle movement and breathing with intent and meditative awareness, to strengthen and harmonise your energy and physical body.
A workshop with Abby Lee, Qigong and Tai Chi Instructor.
4.20 – 4.50pm | Sound Meditation
Enjoy nourishing sounds of bowls, bells and gongs that will guide you on a deep and peaceful journey of relaxation and meditation.
