The Rhythm Tree Family Music Classes
The Rhythm Tree Family Music Classes is an award-winning family music classes for 0-5 year olds and the grown-ups who love them.
Classes are led by fully qualified and trained Rhythm Tree teachers leading a community of children and their parents or caregivers (nannies, babysitters, grandparents, or relatives) in 45 minutes of music and movement experiences. There are nine weekly classes per term, each offering a dozen songs and chants drawn from the songbook you'll take home. A mix of original songs and traditional tunes from a variety of genres and styles, including folk, blues, rock, jazz, classical, and world music all feature in the classes.
Children and adults have opportunities to create and improvise—making up new words to songs, offering movement ideas, making silly sounds, and sharing musical ideas from the family play-time. The relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented classroom setting respects and supports the unique learning styles, developmental levels, and temperaments of all participants, creating a strong sense of community.
Families receive a new CD and download each term for home and for on the go, along with an illustrated songbook filled with music-making ideas for spontaneous music play beyond the weekly classes.
Free trials are available during the current term. Bookings are essential.
